The Good News
Yes, there really is some

Michael Moore has 17 Reasons Not to Slit Your Wrists (found via Robert's Virtual Soapbox). And Joe Conason says "only people suffering from historical amnesia could believe this election proves that liberalism is dead."

    Mikhaela,

    I enjoyed Moore's humor
    but it was short lived
    with the list of names
    of our dead young Americans
    right below it.

Where is the outrage at the use of easily hackable electronic voting machines, without a voter-verifiable paper trail?

In my view the use of these machines thoroughly delegitimizes the election results. Don't be so quick to try to find fault with Democrats when it is very likely that the Republicans have stolen yet another election.

The lack of a paper trail isn't the only problem with touch screen voting....

A law should be passed that demands enough voting machines to avoid long lines or we should go with optical scan machines that scan your paper ballot. The only time the machine is used - is after you vote - which mitigates long lines. For the touch screens, a voter has to stand at one machine for 5 to 15 minutes which virtually guarantees long lines.
