Old School on the Boston Tip Film Screening

Bet you all didn't know I was a part-time independent filmmaker (well, digital video-maker). Anyway, if any of you are in the Boston area and are interested, my friend Mindy Chen and I made a short (13 min.) documentary about some aspects of the Boston hip hop scene: "Old School on the Boston Tip." The video features interviews/performances with emcees such as Edo G (best known for his 1991 MTV hit "Be a father to your child" but he's been prolific since then!), Rip Shop & Illin' P (both nominated for Best New Hip Hop Artist in the Boston Music Awards, though they've been in the scene for 18 years), and T-Max, as well as DJ Nomadik (she hosts a wonderful old school show Tuesday nights on WERS 88.9 FM). The video was shot at the WERS studio in Boston and the Milky Way club in Jamaica Plain, and it will be screening at the Milky Way on July 24th. Unfortunately I'm in Rhode Island and Mindy's in California so we can't attend, but we hope people show our film some love.
