Cartoon: Screw Blue

Yes, I'm playing cartoon catchup again--this one ran over a week ago in print. I must admit I've been a bit busy preparing for the arrival of the Cartoonist SuperBaby (as in, Masheka and I are both artists and packrats, and we have to get rid of over 1/3 of our earthly posessions and furniture to make room)...
Cartoons on Haiti coming this week of course.
By the way, you may remember this nameless couple--they've appeared a few times over the last year or so, starting with the election. Maybe at some point they'll get actual names.

You'll also note that Salt Lake City is better at trans-equality, (oddly enough I find marrying my girlfriend to be slightly less important than my ability to get a job so we can live together) than MA or NY. Blue states are great for making paragons of a Mary Daly or a Barney Frank, and breaking us into groups so that some of us can be marginalized and ignored instead of Red States which are generally good at persecuting anyone different with some degree of equal antipathy. I'll take the second, given the choice.
gotta love states' rights. If Iowa can get a large portion of wealthy gays to relocate from NY and CA they gonna be rolling in new tax revenue. If the creative and business class of gays who want to start a family relocate in large numbers it might even inspire other small middle America states looking for new growth and tax base. Can you imagine a gay frindly bidding war up and down the blues highway and miss. river.
