The Mommy Job, Children's Book Edition

Remember my cartoon about surgical so-called Mommy Makeovers? Enter My Beautiful Mommy, a children's book by a plastic surgeon... in which Mommy explains to her daughter why Mommy needs bigger boobs, a perkier nose and a tummy tuck to be prettier.

Not a parody at all. It's a marketing tool written by a plastic surgeon for his patients and their kids. EEK!

As child's literature, it borrows from the worst of, say, Barney licensed picture books, and then adds its own element of manipulative, sexist evil.
